Information Security

As a provider of outsourcing services and solutions, Canterbury places the highest value on information security, emphasizing the protection and confidentiality of client data. Our oversight process begins with segregation of duties, the Four Eyes principle that guarantees no single individual alone is responsible for oversight of a customer’s business.

In keeping with our background as industry veterans, Information Security Policies and Procedures are put in place and observed when dealing with all client information, communications and data.

Separate levels of authorities for system access are established to view or change client information and data on a need to know basis.

All client data files and reports are transmitted securely between the Exchange and Canterbury and our clients and Canterbury. Our company’s high bandwidth connectivity runs through RadianzNET points of presence and SONET connections. Secure options include sFTP (Secure FTP), Secure VPN, and PGP. Other encryption methods will be considered upon request.

In addition, all files and data are transmitted using account numbers only, so customers need not worry that any proprietary client data are compromised by either their own data transmission or the exchange file. No client names are transmitted or stored by Canterbury.

At no time does Canterbury staff access our clients’ static data setup, or request the names of client accounts, unless otherwise permitted by clients.
